I just wanted to ask you this, as I don't know if you're already aware of my Tumblr- and Facebook account. Currently I'm more active on Facebook, as I thought this is where most of you are, but I'm willing to change this if you want to.

If you love Tim Burton, you will love Potzu Yoko. For some time now I watch this very talented young artist. His work is amazing - simple, yet strong. Every line is where it belongs, it doesn't seem childish or unprofessional, though he uses a quite minimalistic technique. His motives are brilliant, creepy, make you uncomfortable - but still you feel a strange beauty in them.

- Send an email with the title "TAA Submission", a maximum of three mid-resolution artworks (please not more than 100 px on the widest side) and - most important - A LINK TO YOUR PAGE (deviantart, facebook, official homepage, ...)
- Send me a private message on DA
- Write a personal message to our Facebook page

the Art Asylum's Facebook Group was very quiet in the last time. I want to change that and promote your artworks! I hope this way especially the more unknown of you can get more popular and known

I want to announce the Art Asylum's ([link] new contest. The theme this time is post mortem photography.

Some of you might know this tradition of the 19th century. With the development of photography there came up the rite to photograph the recently deceased.

Now I ask you to do your own personal view or response of or to post mortem photography. It can be modern or old fashioned, something like a fake corpse in a crime scene or a dead that seems to sleep - there are no borders to your creativity and I'm looking forward to your interpretation of this hauntingly beautiful theme.

ALLOWED MEDIA: This time only photography and manipulation.
HOW TO SUBMIT: Just put your work into the "Current Contests" Folder ( I opened it for you). I will accept it if it doesn't hurt the rules

I just love her style of drawing, so fresh, simple and yet effective and strong. Her creepy creations remind a bit of Tim Burton, but she doesn't copy the style in any way. Very unique, take a look at it - you won't regret it

You are beautiful the way you are. Photoshop just allows you to create something unnatural, surreal and overly perfect, which has nothing to do with nature anymore. I think this is very important to know, as many young girls desire to look like all those perfect models on the covers of magazines.
Well, you can look like this. Learn to photoshop. But think about: Do you really want this?
